Realistic Approach to Getting Twitter Followers

Twitter is miles behind Facebook in terms of ‘active audience’ but with numbers around 100 million; no one can argue that it has a very large family. If you are on twitter for the right reasons (social) you will surely be interested in followers, if you know what I mean. You may follow as many people as you possibly can but if your tweets are only visible on your TL (I mean TimeLine), you will most likely not enjoy tweeting. In as much as Twitter is a social platform and every user is allowed the freedom to tweet whatever they want, tweets about meals have never been the kind to attract followers. Value in tweets is the main source of interest for tweet buddy loyalty.
There are many other factors that contribute to significant following including your bio which revolves around creating a relevant inkling to other users. This is just basic because it’s what you would do if anyone is asking you to follow them. It is therefore important that you detail your account with the right information (probably the most relevant and interesting facts) to give people reason to follow you. Some of the basic things you should be keen about when reviewing you bio include you:

Being real
Your bio needs to be welcoming and personalized to make you look like a humorous person who anybody would easily want to associate with. The best way to do this is ensure that there is something about you, i.e. your name and probably where you are located in the planet. Humour is very significant to bringing out the real you, but you will also have to have to write about things you do in real life such as hobbies and preferences. The depth of the information you provide will be all up to you although I would not advise putting up personal details.

Having an Avatar
There is a common avoidance for ‘tweeties’ who use the egg as their profile picture and mainly because it show their lack of interest in the site. This means that failing to include a picture on your profile will make people mistake you for a spammer or a sadist. A picture will go a long way in representing your social character even if it is just an object you relate to. NOTE: In the long run, it would be best to avoid certain extremes.

Being Fun
When you list your interests, you are telling people what kind of person you are and the kind of stuff they should expect from you. You need therefore not tell about prospects which you never talk about in your tweets. You should build your bio around what you really are or what intentions you have and stick to them. Do not contradict yourself! If you are in it for business, use keywords, if its purely personal just be natural.

It is important that you do not lie just to get a large following because followers are not permanent and can shortlist you pretty easily. These tips can therefore be useful for successfully making friends which I recommend if you really are genuine and maybe even follow me (@GamerVick) while at it!
